i’m new to home assistant and i’ve googled but its not that easy to google for state switch
i’ve got a homegear switch and in the ui it shows its on when is off and vice versa.
how can i change that?

Looks like you are looking for this:
In that case you could work around via template (like azeroth12 said). But having an inverted switch actually indicates, that you either haven’t connected the actuator correctly, or Homegear allows to internally invert the logic that the switch is exposing. The HomeMatic component is designed to read True
as on
and False
as off
. That’s the default when you buy such a switch, and there’s no integrated method for the HomeMatic component to change this.

you are totally right!
it didn’t felt right to change it via template and i looked at the switch it self. Seems you can connect it in two ways
i’ve corrected it and now everything works as expected.
