Change low battery behaviour of Zigbee thermostat

Hello together,
I’m using a hama Zigbee thermostat with HomeAssistant and Zigbee2MQTT. The device is equals to Saswell SEA801-Zigbee/SEA802-Zigbee.
In the manual is described what happens when the battery is low:
The thermostat valve is opening (30% or 100% depending on Version) to prevent freezing inside the room.

I can understand the idea behind that behavious, but what I read is that the battery runtime is not very good in some cases and often unexpected drains fast. Also the device is not telling me how many percent battery is left, just if the battery is low or not. With the high energy prices currently I don’t want to risk beeing away from home a few days an heat my room at 100% because the battery is drained.

Is there any way to change this behviour or a workaround?
