Is there any way to change the time when HA purges the database? I have mine purging every 5 days and it always seems to be around the same time in the morning when its busy in my house. I will miss some notifications sometimes. I thinking maybe it is taxing the cpu at that time.
How do you know when it purges? I thought it would need to purge every day and delete records older than five days. This would take very little time using mysql to delete sequential records 1/6 the database size. Perhaps you could setup a cpu sensor and review the history chart to see if there is a spike in cpu in the mornings when you miss notifications.
Yes. I did setup a couple sensors for history. I can see every morning at the same time the disk usage drop around 1G in size. The cpu sensor jumps up around 6% from 3%. Just not sure what could be causing me to miss notifications. The only ones I miss are from my Zwave door lock.
I have a schlage sense which I have to run through homekit then to HA. I can say that it isn’t 100% reliable all the time so for testing purposes I setup an automation that turns on side light when the lock is unlocked. After a couple of days, I determined the position of my ATV was an issue and moved it improve reliability and speed.
