Change unit of sensor

Hi,

currently i have an gas sensor that can either send the consumed amount in litre or the consumed amount in m3, but only in full m3. For a higher accuracy i use litre as unit.

The Energy dashboard needs e.g. m3 or kWh. How can i recalculate this sensor? Template sensor?
