Changed from Z-wave JS to Z-wave Ui and now I’m stuck

Hey everybody,

Got myself stuck once again in my HA Z-wave config. Noobish as I can be, it was only today that I realized there is a Z-wave JS addon besides the Z-wave integration. I was doing all the settings and troubleshooting through the integration. Now I learned about the addon, but also the Z-wave JS UI addon, which was recommended for firmware upgrades and such. I installed it, copied security keys from the JS addon. Removed the old addon and launched the new Zwave JS. UI. It connected to the controller and seems to have picked up on my network. Some sensors have now been identified. Some remain unknown, for example my aeotec range extenders. I have no clue how to solve this.

Additionally if I now go to my Z-wave integration it gives me an error. It cannot find the server. So now I’ve learned that Z-wave JS UI runs the server. If I press configure on the Z-wave integration it asks me if I want to use the Supervisor add-on. No clue what to do. Next it asks for the url, but I have no clue what url to use here. I used ws: local and ws 0.0.0.0. But none of them result in the integration connecting.

Probably doing something wrong, but I don’t know what and I can’t find it in the manual. Anyone out there that can help me?

There are good reasons to switch to ZUI, but firmware upgrades is not one of them. HA supports the same functionality just fine.

Reading the add-on documentation would help (available as a tab on the add-on page), as it has step-by-step instructions on installing the integration, including the URL to use: addon-zwave-js-ui/zwave-js-ui/DOCS.md at d130b3b97a5e46bc3769b6a16b12c5dca1b3a674 · hassio-addons/addon-zwave-js-ui · GitHub

Or here’s a full guide to switch add-ons:
