Charge your EV with unused Solar with EVCC

Hi!

I have been working with the team over at EVCC. They have a great solution to control the charge of your EV. They support several chargers and cars as well as different solar systems (meteors, inverters etc).

They now have support for Tesla Wall Charger (testing). It works quite well and removes lots of work for automating. HA also has an add-on for EVCC but that does not run the version having support for TWC yet since it is in testing and they are now asking for more testers before they add it into the product.

Go to https://evcc.io to check it out.

Also the threat here on their discussions board.

Hi there,

on my quest to find something that controls charging of my PV battery, car batter and at a later point in time also my heat pump I have now stumbled on EVCC.
I am currently working on the initial config, and am unsure what to do about the Wallbox. My Heidelberg Energy Control is a “dumb” wallbox that cannot be controlled at all, so I do all my automation through the Tesla Custom integration…but how do I teach EVCC that?

If you run HAOS, EVCC is now available as an add-on.

With little fuss I was able to integrate my MG4, Fronius solar, and ZJBeny charger.

Great system for soaking up excess solar !
