I bought this super cheap Tuya motion sensor from Aliexpress. For $3 who cares Received it and it’s TINY… much smaller than the smartthings/aqara ones I typically use for 10x the price.
I put it in pairing mode, added on HASS… and it found it!
Unfortunately, that is where things ended. While I can see the device, and while it’s registering as a motion sensor, and while I can see it triggering “events”, it’s not triggering motion events. When I wave my hand in front of it, there is a little red light that goes off so I know it’s registering. And in HASS I see an event fire. But the motion config still shows clear, and any automations I create with it never fire off. Anybody have any thoughts on how to get this to function properly?
