"Check Home Assistant configuration" error help with 2022.8.1 install

Hello all -

I’ve spent a lot of time on the forum trying to find information on how to fix this, but unfortunately, I couldn’t. I’m trying to install 2022.8.1, but I get a long error message with the “Check Home Assistant configuration” add-on.

I run Home Assistant Blue/ODROID-N2.

I would appreciate any help with this.

Here is the error:

The check_config add-on is deprecated (no longer maintained), so perhaps just delete it?

WARNING: This add-on is deprecated because it is no longer needed. Home Assistant now always starts after an update even if your config is invalid. You should do the following after an update to check for issues:

Hi there - thank you for the reply. If I delete it, how can I check if the install will break anything?

You don’t.

You should do the following after an update to check for issues:

  1. Check persistent notifications. If an integration could not be loaded because its config is invalid a notification will tell you.

  2. Check logs. If an integration could be loaded but the config you are using is deprecated a message will tell you what needs to change and by when.

  3. Follow the red banner. In rare cases HA will start in safe mode. In those cases you should follow the instructions in the red banner at the top of the UI.

And now there are Repairs.

And you read the release notes breaking changes before updating.

Thanks everyone - I’ll give it a try.
