Check if any light is on/off

Hi,
I want to make an automation based on “is any light on?” or off…
I have 8 hue lights so chain conditions is a non-elegant solution, do you know if there is a way?

you could put them all in a group and check the group status.

Place them in a group. If any component of a group is on, the group state will report on.

FYI, there is already a default group.all_lights
