Choosing which bluetooth proxy is used for a device

Hi!
I just started to use a bluetooth proxy and it works great!

I wanted to ask how the bluetooth proxy is selected when connecting to a particular device?

I have a switchbot which is both reachable from my raspberry pi with a dongle as well as a bluetooth proxy which is closer to it. How do I make sure that the switchbot integration is used via the bluetooth proxy and it won’t try to connect via the raspberry?

Home Assistant makes that determination automatically based on signal strength and ability to connect correctly.
