Whenever I am displaying the running log of an ESPHome node, or when I try to compile all nodes, I inevitably end up with an “Aw Snap” error on Chrome. This issue is most annoying while compiling as I then have to compile each node individually given “Update All” starts from scratch every time.
I do have tons (typically 50-100) of open tabs and closing them all is not an option right now… but I am working on it (New Year resolution lol). Windows reported Chrome using around 6GB of RAM so there was plenty more available for it. The most I’ve seen it use was around 16GB.
While I suspect closing more tabs will help (even though my PC has 64GB of RAM), I wonder how common this problem is and whether there are other things I can do to lessen the issue. I’ve been in the habit of keeping tons of open tabs for years so some alternative might be my best option…
