Chromecast send PDF to TV screen

Hello All,

I’ve managed to get Google Assistant to get Hass to play an MP3 on my Chromecast, but I’d also like it to display a PDF. I tried this using application/pdf as the content type but it didnt like it. Can anyone confirm and advise if its possible and how this is done please.

I’ve performed some tests trying to send a jpg or png to the chromecast but it seems the only thing I can send sucessfully is mp3 / mp4.

When I look at the media_content_types available, nothing seems to fit so maybe I’m out of luck or need something different to media_player / play_media ?

Any pointers welcome!
