I am using the Google Assistant integration with the Cloud component, and everything is working well, except that Google is not recognizing the areas which I have set as rooms and assigned to my various devices.
I’m running hassio with HA 0.90.1 and have synced devices as well.

I had the same problem today. By chance do you have more than one home setup in your google account? I had to delete my “Office” home for the sync and room hints to work again.
What are room hints/areas anyway? I just use rooms…

Just had the same issue. Removing the other Home worked.
Probably a bug that should be fixed at some point.
