I have a somehow specific scenario. The air intake for the HVAC is relatively close to the exhaust of the automatic emergency generator, and when both are running at the same time for a long time, the concentration of CO in one particular area of the house tends to start climbing.
During the five days of power outage we had after the storm last week, I kept an eye on the VOC value that I would read from to Awair sensors and not let the overall air quality drop under 80% (around 2 ppm), but I would like to have something more specific for CO that I can monitor more closely.
My setup has Zigbee through ZHA and Z-wave through the Hubitat integration (I had started with that platform, then moved to HA and ported over my investment). Any ideas?
I have MQ-7 with esphome in my basement, but I’ve read that it’s not so good. I couldn’t find why, though. It shows something… since i only need it as a monitor i don’t really care if it’s inaccurate, as long as it shows something more or less real.
Recently i bought Tuya smart wifi CO monitor/sensor on AliExpress, it seems to work (i don’t have it long time yet). I bet that ZigBee version also exists - something like THAT, i guess. It connects to HA via Tuya integration.
