CO2 Signal unavailable

Since sometime tonight the CO2 signal sensors are unavailable.

Am I the only one?

Global shortage…

Same here. No data since 3 days. Not yet investigated what the reason may be…

It’s back, without me doing anything.

I hate to be “that guy”, but ditto. Must have been a glitch somewhere. Now happily reporting almost 80% non-fossil.
It’s fascinating to see the impact of the weather on my energy mix.

Anyone else lost their CO2Signal data in the Home Assistant Energy Module?

Mine stopped reporting two days ago.

Thanks!

Mine has been dead for same period. It’s a pity as it’s my favourite feature of the new energy app.

The better question at the moment is does this work for ANYONE at the moment?

On my energy page the Non-Fossil energy is being calculated but the CO2signal integration is showing that it can’t be setup and the two entities are unavailable…?

Mine and s working continuously since the original issue was resolved

Maybe it is just Australia that has gone offline then?

I updated to Home Assistant 2021.12.6 and CO2signal functionality seems to have returned.

It last reported correctly on 20 December for me, and today’s (31 Dec) data is looking about right. Days in between are lost.

Unfortunately I just updated to .7 and still no good.

On 12.7 as well. Its been out for me all day. This is the first time i am trying this integration. Based on this thread, it sounds like their API goes out often. :frowning: Are these usually global outages or just specific country/area outages? Are they usually offline for multiple days?

Also on 2021.12.7 as well. It has been Unavailable for sometime, I’m in Australia!

Looks like it is an issue with using a latitude and longitude for the location in Australia. Reinstall the integration and select the state code instead https://api.electricitymap.org/v3/zones This may not be as accurate in terms of data as previously.

The Integration is now working using the country/state code (AUS/VIC). Thanks

Thank you! Ontario, Canada here (Country Code CA-ON). Been down for a couple of weeks, reinstalling with country code worked perfect.

I contacted co2signal just to ask what had happened and apparently there was a bug that is now fixed so you can try the home location again and hopefully it will work!

Thanks. I don’t understand the way the non-fossil power is being calculated or summed.

If I look at today it says 0.5kWh of the 18.9kWh from the grid is non-fossil. It seems to be a similar value each day. And it’s too low. Our grid ain’t exactly green but it’s not that bad.

But what’s weirder is if I look at weekly and monthly energy summaries the non-fossil contribution makes no sense.

The current week total (5 of 7 days so far) is 1.1kWh non-fossil while the month to date summary says only 0.5kWh is non-fossil.

Yet the daily numbers this week are:
10 Jan 1.1 kWh
11 Jan 1.0 kWh
12 Jan 0.8 kWh
13 Jan 0.5 kWh
14 Jan 0.5 kWh

The numbers just make no sense.

Seems to have happened again.
My sensors are shown as unavailable in Germany since yesterday.
Anybody else?
