I’m beginning construction on a new home and the proposal is for a Coleman VRF CVAHP048 (I think the same as the Hitachi HVAHP048). Three zones with the main one being ducted and two bedrooms with wall units. It’s spec’d three CIW02-H controllers. I don’t think it has app/API control as spec’d, but there are 5-wire adapters available which presumably would work with Ecobee (although they couldn’t tell me for sure).
There’s also a cloud gateway controller that enables AirCloud as well as a VRF Gateway which supports BACNet.
Is anyone familiar with these systems? I’d obviously like HA integration, but I’m not familiar enough with HVAC systems to know if there is an alternate system that would be better supported or if the adapter+ecobee would be worth the cost.
