Hey,
I have been working on a custom integration to support Cololight devices in Home Assistant.
Custom integration, along with documentation, can be found here .
Supported devices include:
Cololight Hexagon
Cololight LED Strip
Commands to the devices are all over UDP, keeping the taffic local on the network.
Also created a python pycololight library, which is used to send commands to the devices.
Feedback always welcome

I’ve been using this for a couple weeks. Works 1000% better than the native app. Thank you

Hi there,
I like this integration. Is there a way to use the effect modes from the documentation?
Hey @JPvHofe ,
Are you able to explain a little more?
Which “effect modes from the documentation” are you referring to?

Hi! I am trying to pair my cololight but I need a code with the format XXX-XX-XXX. where can i get it?
Thank you so much!
Hi @Machuca ,
There shouldn’t be any need for a code.
When adding a device, you only need to provide host (IP address), and a name for the device in Home Assistant.

When I try to add it, I see this message. Sorry, it is in Spanish
It looks like you’re trying to add the device via HomeKit integration.
This is a custom integration that needs to be installed, and doesn’t operate via HomeKit. You can follow one of the installation methods to add it to Home Assistant.
