I’m trying to create an automation based on the next alarm sensor on my phone (a Xiaomi).
After getting incorrect values and googling around, I found that Xiaomi’s alarm app doesn’t provide the correct date and time for the next alarm and that the best option would be to use the Google Clock app, which I’ve now installed.
However, I’m having a hard time figuring out which alarm sensor to setup on the Companion App; I’ve found that the Google Clock process is com.google.android.deskclock but setting this as the next alarm sensor yields “Unavailable”.
this is usually because another app is still setting alarms…the api only returns the next scheduled alarm which can be from any app. When you set an allow list you skip any update you do not want. Remove the package from teh allow list and then remove teh alarm from the offending package then this will work as expected.
