Companion App no longer connecting after Update 2023.8.2

After the latest update of the Companion App Android (2023.8.2) I can no longer log in via the smartphone (WLAN and mobile data).
I have already cleared the cache, deleted data and reinstalled.

After the reinstallation, I can only get to the selection screen, “Choose your Home Assistant-Server”. If I select the server, only a black screen appears.

I have found a few posts about this that had a similar problem, but I can not figure it out.

Does anyone know if there are problems with the latest update? I am grateful for any help.

It seems that the problem has solved itself. Now everything works again.
Why it has not worked the last 12h I will probably never know

i am having the same issues. This happens on android. however, it seems fine on ios devices. i tried removing the integration of the device. Restarted the home asssistant server. nothing works.

ok. I think i solved my issue as follows on Android Home Assistant Companion App:

i did the following:
Uninstall and re-install the app from the google play store.
Then,
open the app and reach to the “Choose your Home Assistant-Server” and i am presented a black screen.
Then, finally,
restarted my Android phone.
open the app and reach to the “Choose your Home Assistant-Server” and i am presented with login screen.
Successfully loaded my Home Assistant interface.

This process was repeated with other android devices that had issues with success.

Hope this helps someone.
