A storm knocked my internet and electricity out. When everything came back up I’m now having problems with my router and the HA companion app. I can get into the browser version of HA fine but the app is treating it like it’s a new install asking me which instance it should connect to. Can anyone help?
Just configure it again. No harm will be done.
Try the ip address:8123 instead of homeassistant.local
I really appreciate you. I did get logged in this way. But I don’t know if it’s the new URL or something else that made myl smart light cards unresponsive now. I’m sure I’ll figure it out though… You got me through the hard part. So is this my new login in from now on?
Yes unless you can get mDNS running on your network again. FWIW I always use the IP Address for internal connections.
