Companion app only working from home

Away from home I connect to my local network through the OpenVPN-server on my router. I connected to my HA-instance with the companion app without problems.
Since a couple of days (maybe weeks) I have this strange phenomenon:

  • No issues from my home wifi.
  • No issues if I switch-off wifi on my phone and VPN from mobile network if located AT HOME.
  • Unable to connect in the app if away from home but on exactly the same mobile network.
  • However, I then can login from any browser app. That is: no connection with app, fine through browser.
    What could I do wrong?

are you by chance using trusted network login?

Woehaa… I don’t even know how to switch that on or off (shameful emoji).

log out and log back in and make sure to enter your username and password (tahts if you had trusted network setup)

Thanks! Will give it a try… but I’m not leaving home today anymore.

Away from home now.
Removed the home WiFi’s in the companion app, logged out and back in and it works fine now.
