Compatibility between Aeotec Water Sensor 7 and Zooz 800

Hi All,

I’m trying to install an Aeotec Water Sensor 7 Pro (ZWA019-C / EU version) using a Zooz 800 Z-wave stick (purchased in US, but RF region set to EU via Z-Wave JS UI). When I try to add the device via Z-Wave JS, it doesn’t seem to find the Water Sensor, despite me activating inclusion mode / trying QR code etc.

I suspect the radio frequency/region might be the issue, but not entirely sure. I was previously able to pair my Zooz 800 (US region) and a Ring Keypad (EU region) using the above method.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try excluding the device first.

Make sure the controller region is set to “Europe”, not “Default (EU)”.

Brilliant - that worked! Thanks

Which one?

I am struggling to get my Aeotec Water Sensor 7 to my Zoos 800 LR. I previously had it connected to an Aeotec 500, but now I am migrating all my hardware to a new HA instance on a new mini pc after my Intel NUC seemed to be developing issues. The rest of my Z-Wave devices have moved ok (eventually, my Yale Conexis L1 required the module to be reset locally), but the water sensor refuses to connect. I have even updated the firmware to the latest EU version, still no luck

Success, I did a factory reset and then it paired straight away. Maybe that’s because I didn’t follow the exclusion process, and just removed it from the first HA instance, as it was located behind my fridge freezer. That was a wonderful afternoon wasted.
