Compatibility

I performed a factory restore on my old Nexus 9 running Android version 7.1.1 that’s the last supported Android by Google.

When attempting to restore some of the Apps I wanted to Install Homeassistant but the Play Store says it isn’t compatible with my device?
Interestingly it was running just fine before the reset.

So basically the questions are;
From the developers point of view should it still be compatible?
If not is there an APK I can install from elsewhere that will work?

My intended use is as a recipe book in my kitchen it will never be on the road.
It would though be nice to have it back in HA for data’s sake!

minimum supported version is android 5…not sure why the play store is saying its incompatible.

you can always sideload the APK off github releases if you desire

Thank you. I will most likely do that. Throughout this rebuild I have had a number of previously installed apps reported as not compatible. Oddly those who compete, Just saying!

are you running a custom ROM by chance? if you just did a factory reset then maybe wait for things like play services to update?

Standard ROM for FLOUNDER and have waited for over 4 hours. Rebooted many times and waiting again But after my post I did one more try and ‘presto’ success for HA. Thanks for getting back to me. It is fair to point out that I had the ‘Server error’ with the retry button. That took me a good hour to fix.

My other devices and this one previously have never had an issue.
Thank you its great work!
