Conbee II and Sky Connect

Hello everyone

I have been using a Conbee 2 stick USB from dresend elektronik with the ZHA integration for my Zigbee devices for years and I am very satisfied.

I have been trying for a few days (without success) to integrate an Eve Energy (Swiss version) plug into the HA.

According to Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 it is possible to use a Sky Connect Stick exclusively as a Thread Border Router.

Have I understood correctly that I can continue to use my Conbee 2 stick for Zigbee devices and then use the Sky Connect stick for Thread/Matter devices? So both USB sticks are connected to my HA server at the same time?

And I don’t have to delete / reset my existing Zigbee network? I can just plug the sky connect stick into my HA server and flash / install it under Settings → Hardware as a Thread Border Router?

You don’t have to do anything with your Zigbee network. Keep the USB plugs on extension cords and map them by their serial/by-id instead of /dev/TTYUSB and you should be fine.
