I recently switched from a conbee to a conbee II, and my Philips Hue Bloom lost connectivity. I tried everything to try to reset the Hue Bloom, but in the end found that the only way was to use my Philips hub. This is because, just like your Hue Floodlight, the Hue Bloom does not have a reset button or any other method to reset without a Philips Hub.
I don’t have your exact device though. So, perhaps someone else with that floodlight might chime in…
did you reset the Bloom using the philips hub app, and then happy days you could find the Bloom through hass and were able to go back to direct comms between HASS and the Bloom. or did you always thereafter need the Hue Hub as a go-between?
if the former option of the 2 above; what was the method to reset the Bloom through the Hue Hub app interface? ive got access to a Hue Hub, and the only button (inside the ‘light entity’ (not a floodlight)) is to ‘Delete’ [from Hue Hub app]. i cant test that because it’s my friend’s setup, and i dont want to break his setup. i’m thinking that deleting the relationship might put the Bloom (and my floodlight) into a ‘paring mode’. but then my floodlight has never been paired to anything. the instructions say the hue hub app will ask for the serial no of the floodlight (which i have). but that doesnt represent the method inside phoscon.
I had to reset a Philips Hue bulb before (which also can not be reset with a button or power on/off sequences) and was able to do with the Philips Hue remote (dimmer switch). https://phoscon.de/en/support#hue-light-reset
yes, i have to go through the hub. it’s the only way.
its quite reliable though. and you can do everything you want. and more!! thanks to HA, yaml and jinja programming
