The resident idiot is back.
Seen a few mentioning this issue I am having but not quite understanding what has changed in 0.88 to cause this.

See the release notes, and it was also mentioned in the podcast for 0.88.
The short version is, as the message said, you’ve got keys that aren’t valid (either never were, or were once), and Home Assistant has been ignoring. Now it’s warning you about them, and soon it’ll refuse to accept them.
Check the documentation for the component in question, and ensure that you’re not using anything (like friendly_name mentioned there) that’s unsupported.
