/config inaccessible from Terminal & Samba share add-ons after partial restore of HA settings & history

I restored a backup partially earlier today - just the “Home assistant” / “Settings and history”. The backup had been taken in the previous hour. There were no changes to any add-ons in the meantime.

After the restart, I could no longer access /config in the “Advanced SSH & web terminal” add-on - I got “access denied” errors, even though I was root.

The “Samba share” add-on also gave startup errors, and the share for /config gave “access denied” under Windows. Neither add-on would work properly after restarting them.

I then uninstalled the “Advanced SSH & Web terminal”. Subsequently, the Samba share for /config started to work.

I then did another partial restore, and selected only the “Advanced SSH & Web terminal”. Everything worked correctly afterwards.

Has anyone else seen this problem ? Is it known ?

If some add-ons are going to break after restoring settings & history, it would seem to somewhat defeat the point of being able to do a partial restore.

Edit: filed as

Does it work after a reboot? It’s often recommended to do that after restores.

Not sure. I did not try rebooting the OS at that time.
