Configuration -> Integration -> Home Assistant iOS

Hello!
I don’t understand the purpose of this integration and I was not successful finding any information.
Can anyone give me a hint what this integration is for?
Do I need to add it for the iOS companion app? I have Version 2019.1 installed and it seems to work okay :slight_smile:

It was needed for the older version of the IOS app no longer needed for the latest version (2019.1)
some additional info here that should help explain.
