Configuration to get the Athom 15W Color Bulb working completely

Hi all,

I installed several of the Athom 15W color bulbs in my apartment and I have them connected to ESPHome so I can control them from the dashboard. However, I am facing two main issues:

  1. After a bit of time of inactivity (30 min - 2 hours), some of the bulbs will disconnect from the network and you have to turn them off and back on again to control them from the home assistant. Does anyone have any configuration suggestions or examples I can look at?
  2. I want to have a couple of pre-programmed patterns that I can run, like a rainbow cycle, strobe, etc, on demand. I’ve used Appdaemon to write python scripts to do this, but it feels a little “hacky” and the HASS API is not well documented, are there any other approaches I can take?

If anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear it, I’d also be happy to post any configurations necessary!
