Configure Home Assistant App to work like other Doorbell Apps via Lovelace

Hi All,

Can someone link me to a guide or thread that discusses / explains how to use HomeAssistant App like a third party doorbell app (e.g. Ring, Arlo etc).

My intention is to add a Dahua DHI-VTO2202F-P to my setup. It looks like a great POE device which will go well with my Dahua Security Cameras and BlueIris setup. I know there is an MQTT community docker that helps with integration of Dahua Cameras into HA but I don’t think that (in isolation) is the answer.

What I am after is being able to drop my dependancy from a third party cloud based service (I am fine with Nabu Casa) or a Dahua tablet display. I would like to use HA (via the IOS / Android / Web) through which I get alerts that someone is at the door, am able to commune with someone at the door (2-way audio) while also seeing the live video. This means (via the Nabu Casa subscription or Direct) that I will also get these notices when I am out of the home and still be able to answer the door.

Is this possible?

Hi, What did you do at the end?.

I’m interested in this doorbell in order to integrate it in Home Assistant.

Thanks.

The only way to get this working is to use the add-on or the docker container developed by @bar which works great for me. There is no other way to get the call button recognised by HA.
