I really like UniFi and their console. It seems to me that Home Assistant could offer most of not all of the features of the UniFi Console. But with Home Assistant it could work across multiple vendors. That way I could use a router from UniFi, a switch from HP, and APs from Netgear.
Longer term, HA could offer to manage setup of the network. For example, getting all the IOT devices on a separate VLAN. UniFi and other services allow for this but the configuration can be complex.
The starting point could be cards that show data from multiple vendors of network gear. An interconnection map would be good too. Also, use devices to show where there are coverage weaknesses.
