I’ve been having trouble with assist when referencing devices/entities that contain the same name as the area they are in. E.g. I have a TV in my Garage
area called Garage TV
. When I say something like “turn off the garage tv”, it returns an error saying “Sorry, I am not aware of any device called tv in the garage area”. I’ve tried quite a few variants of this to try and make Assist aware of the fact that I’m referencing the specific name of the entity instead of a more generic entity name inside the area, but haven’t had any luck. Is this a bug (or perhaps an enhancement to the base level voice logic) that should be documented in Github? Regardless, are there currently any ways to get around this limitation without resorting to custom sentences or switching to a more robust LLM model?
