Subject says it all. Have zha and z2m running on separate stick, some devices are using z2m and others either zha or zwave.
Using the z2m addon, loading the MAP, all devices seem to be connected directly to the coordinator. Those devices a long way away are showing poor link quality, basically rooftop and one of the master bedroom water sensors being the lowest.
In addition, the status of the rooftop and MBR water are showing up as unavailable in HA, both open/close state, temperature and battery.
I have 2 zigbee repeaters along with lots of mains powered zigbee switches using zha. I have no mains powered z2m devices and I don’t know there is such thing as a z2m repeater.
How do I build out my z2m mesh network? Are my devices connect through z2m using the aeotec zigbee repeaters? If not, why not?
You ned repeaters, Sometimes callled “mains”, like light bulbs, plugs or other type of zigbee devices which are powered. You can also buy specific repeaters to create a network.
Right not all the devices connect directly to the coordinator, as it is the only one being capable.
There are a lot of stuff in regards how to make a stable zigbee network, search on the forum.
A few things. I would suggest to only have one zigbee network, as this will allow for more “mains”, hence more routes. And, remember a long USB extender cable if you coordinator is USB

So I have a sizable Zigbee network, integrated through ZHA. My zha map is quite impressive.
My z2m map in the original post all go back to the coordinator. So is this as simple as buying a third Aeotec range extender but this time, integrating it using z2m instead of zha?
Basically. Yes. They are using the same technology you’ve just set up two independent networks. One cannot repeat for the other so your z2M side needs love too.
