Connect to mqtt truenas scale

First at all, I have homeassistant running in a vm on my truenas scale.
Till now the addon homeassistant emqx is installed and work.
But I will reduce the addons on the homeassistant and installed the mosquitto addon
on the truenas scale as an app.
If I try to connect from my pc with the mqtt explorer it all work. Only homeassistant won’t connect.
Truenas scale app ip 192.168.178.200
Homeassistant ip 192.168.178.19 → VM on truenas scale
Tryed with mqtt://192.168.178.200
mqtt;//mosquitto.ix-mosquitto.svc.cluster.local

have somebody a idea where the mistake is?

Having the same issue, did by any chance solve it?

Same issue here. Any updates?

I solved it by creating a Bridge network and putting the VM and Truenas on it. That’s how they communicate with each other.

nice to hear. i thought about the same solution. but in my case, if i try to create a bridge true nas scale will test the “network changes” after that i can not access the gui… after 60 seconds its back on again, but the bridges does not get created. any solutions?

Had that issue also, don’t fully remember what I did.
But, do you have a static IP set? If yes, turn off DHCP on both your main and the Br0 and put the static IP in the Br0. That should work.
