Connecting Bluetooth power switch

I have a couple of Clipsal (Schneider) Iconic Bluetooth switch modules I would like to integrate. They are the early pre-zigbee version sadly.

I have looked through loads of entries, but I can’t see if the new Bluetooth capabilities of HA would work with these. I can see references to sensors and switchbots - the latter makes me think connecting the Iconic modules should be possible.

Can anybody suggest a solution or point me to a forum topic/video etc to help?

Hi did you ever find any more about this.

I have about fourty Clipsal Iconic BLE iconic mechs, 41e6pbes3sbm, that my sparky mate installed for me when they initially launched many years ago.

Sadly they don’t do anything but connect to Wisers own app ie only useful (useless) when I’m already in the room.

Keen to understand if there is any way to salvage this situation as it’s almost $5k to replace with iconic Zigbee mechs.

In short, no, but this video popped up in my YouTube a couple of days ago and it looks promising:

It references the “ready-made projects” at ESPHome:

I haven’t watched the whole video or read through the projects, but it looked interesting.

Since writing that post we have moved to another house, so I left the BT issue behind me. The house we bought had an Iconic switch that I was able to switch to Zigbee and it works well.

At about $A140 a pop, I can understand your reluctance to replace that many switches. I checked with Clipsal to see if they would do a “trade-in” to upgrade but they declined my suggestion. It might be worth checking with them given your numbers.

Thanks - appreciated and good luck with the new home.
