Connecting gateway through 4g modem

Newbie here.
I’m connecting my wired zigbee gateway to a 4g modem. The modem has 2 output ethernet sockets. LAN and WAN.
Which one should i connect it too?

You mean 4G router/modem, correct? If so it should be connected to LAN. WAN would be a hardwired internet source.

Modem/router i guess. We don’t have internet available so using modem/ router with 4g sim card.

LAN, the WAN port is in case you want to use it as a router only because you have an internet source.
