Connecting Innr SP 240 plug and getting the power usage

Hi there,
I’ve got a question about a plug (Innr SP 240 in this case) and somehow I can’t seem to get the power used. I have to say that I’m completely new to the Home Assistant and a bit confused as searching for the device here brought up terms like Mqtt, Zigbee2MQTT, ZA, ZH2 etc but unfortunately I don’t know how to get the power consumption nir what I have to use. I’ve connected the plug to the Hue Bridge (it’s detected as a lamp) and then integrated it into the Home Assistant, so on/off works. But that’s it. Perhaps someone out there would be kind enough to shed some light on this, as I have lost all understanding of how to integrate the device so that it let me see its power consumption.

Thank you

I have the US version (SP244), yet. . .

Install it as an on/off switch in Philips Hue, it will only be an on/off switch for whatever plugs into it.

Remove it from the Hue Bridge, then try to install it in HA (Home Assistant). It’s a zigbee device (ZHA), basic Zigbee stick should work to pair it.

You see something this now, for the Hue installed plug:

Installed with ZHA in HA, you should see something like this (showing 0 for power & current, because the outlet is currently not drawing anything):

Hello,
thank you for your answer. So basically if I understand you correctly it’s impossible to read those power consumptions over the Hue Bridge instead I need to buy this Stick? Damn I was hoping it could just work :frowning:

One question to the Stick do you have a recommendation (preferable one that works out of the box) I’ve found a Sonoff ZBDongle-E, ZigBee 3.0 Gateway for around 20€

I use the Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1 (well, the prior version of the current one), for all my Zigbee devices (except Hue bulbs and Lutron Rotary dimmers, those are hosted in Hue hubs). Very recommendable. Here’s more on that:

Thank you! Will take a look.

Kind of piggy-backing, because I can’t seem to find too much about the SP-244 and power monitoring. Similar to OP, I’ve brought in an Innr SP-244 into my home, set it up on my Rasp Pi 5 installation of Home Assistant connected through a Sonoff Zigbee dongle. Everything set up fine, I can see the outlet, toggle it’s power off and on, but I am unable to get it to log any device power information to the HA Energy dashboard. I’ve created an Individual Device Usage view, and an overall Electricity Usage view on the dash and both have been logging nothing since starting this about 12 hours ago. I can confirm that when the outlet is on and the the device plugged into it is drawing power, I can see the Power and Current Values of the device change accurately to what I’d expect, but the Summation Delivered used in the Energy dashboard never seems to change. Am I doing something wrong? I thought I might be able to change from summation delivered to power or current, on those dashboard views, but there only seems to be the one entity for summation delivered available.
