Connecting IO Module Modbus

Hey i am trying to connect I/O module
like this one

when i connect it to PC with RS 485 converter i can read data how do i connect is to home assistance as binary sensor ? how do i define each input? a coil? ?

i cannot get response from unit even that on normal pc connection it is working fine…

I was able to get this to work…
however i am getting signed 16 bit data which i need to convert into bits ( per input) how can i do that ?
each bit will indicate input status can i make sensor for each location of the bits?

if so how can i do it?
