Connecting Shelly PRO to HA via WS or MQTT

Hi All,

It’s time to turn to the experts!
I’ve been trying to connect a shelly pro EM to home assistant on and off for the last few weeks.
No Cigar.
My older shelly gen1 devices are all connected and working fine however the websocket setup on this gen 2 device just wont play, HA just wont see it.
( various connotations around - wss://192.168.0.10:8123/api/shelly/ws )
the other option is to set it up as a MQTT device, I have many existing MQTT devices (none shelly) all working fine.
I hate to turn to you all with something likely so trivial but this thing is fighting me to the death!

Hassos on Pi4
Unifi network, 2 subnets (iot and general).

Thanks

I have a few Pro EM and Pro 3EM devices, and they all work in HA without configuring Websocket or anything else in particular. HA just detected them automatically. Did you try without WS first? Is your Pro EM on the same subnet as your HA?

Only battery powered devices require Outbound WS configuration. Please read the documentation.
