"Connection refused" for single client in local network, put can ping?

Hello,

I am sure it’s an easy fix I need to make, I just can find anything related, maybe someone can point me to the solution?

  • I run HASS on a Raspi 4b from the common image
  • Raspi via switch without any filtering to the router (fritzbox cable 6591).
  • Fixed IP for the raspi, DNS by Router.

I use some mobile clients (phones, tablet) and Win Laptops without any issues,
however from my Macbook I can’t reach HA within my local network.
I can ping the ip successfull via shell but cant reach out via browser. It’s either “Server not found” or “Connections refused”, depending on which browser I user.

Any Idea where to look for the wrong settings?
Thanks a lot!

VPN active?
DNS over HTTPS enabled?

No VPN, no DNS over HTTPS
(local network only)

IP ban?

Browser auto redirecting from existing http to non existent https?

I switched IPs on the Macbook, so that it shouldn’t be.

Autodirecting? I don’t know where that would be in place. And it’s the same problem for different browsers and even tried to manual enter http://…
Still no connection.

What IP and subnet mask does your MAC have and what Ip and subnet mask does your HA server have?

The auto redirecting from HTTP to HTTPS is something all browsers do today, if the first port does not answer.

All very basic.
Subnet ist 255.255.255.0 for both
Ip for HA/Raspi is 192.168.0.66
Macbook is varying in the same range of course, like 192.168.0.39

Unless Auto Ban is enabled, then the issue is on the Macbook.

Most browsers have this set by default now. If you input 192.168.1.12 it will be https by default and only http is you input http://192.168.1.12.
