Hello!
I’m running Home Assistant OS under a virtual machine.
- 4 Core, AMD
- 2GB Memory
- 20GB qcow file (haos_ova-6.6.qcow2)
- Home Assistant Core 2022.6.7
- Home Assistant Supervisor 2022.05.3
- Home Assistant OS 8.2
I’ve been running this VM for maybe 9-12 months now. I recently checked on the hypervisor, however, and noticed that the VM for HAOS is consistently using 20-70MB/s, which is pulling away resources from other VMs, and causing a lot of SSD wear.
I’m at a bit of a loss as to how to troubleshoot this. In addition to the standard troubleshooting (rebooting, running updates, etc) I’ve tried disabling/uninstalling all of my non-essential addons. I’ve also gone through with SSH and tried to find any files that seem larger than I’d expect. Everything looks normal. The only indication I’m seeing that something’s wrong is from the Hypervisor, which is showing the high amount of writes. That said, it’s difficult to troubleshoot with how few commands are available in the HAOS SSH session.
Home Assistant itself reports low CPU and Memory usage. Running top
in ssh confirms that.
Thoughts or suggestions? I feel like I’m banging my head against a wall with this.
Thank you!
