A few months back I got a Sony Bravia. It’s a new one, smart TV, which is both good and bad in my household. I liked that I could integrate it with HA and I did that. Then quickly I realized that it would be “discovered” by Home Assistant (after I already integrated it). FWIW, the TV is on a fixed IP in my network.
Anyway, when I saw that, I tried removing all the integration stuff for it, I went on the TV and unpaired it with HA to make sure that there were no connections in either direction. Then I let HA discover it and I went through the linkage in the discovery notice to sync it up with HA. About a week went by and the darn thing Discovered DLNA Sony Bravia again, what the heck!?!
I searched the community for DLNA discovery problems and I couldn’t find anyone who complained about this same kind of issue. Am I alone? If I am, does anyone know how I can work out this problem? It’s quite annoying and I’m not one to just turn off the feature if it seems to be having an issue like this. I’d rather get to the bottom of it and figure out why it keeps popping up.
