Control Cisco Router from Home Assistant

G’day All,

I’ve been using Home Assistant for over a year now but still a novice. I manage the basics and have configured a small dashboard for my wife and I to use.

I am utilising a cisco router and use access-lists to control timed internet access for the kids. I have another access list that cuts all internet for specific devices. What I want to put into our dashboard is a button to toggle between these access-lists - ie. Run a script, log into the router, en, conf t, int g0/0, ip access-group 100 in, exit, end

I am unable to find a way to do this. Does anyone know if its possible and details on how to do it?

Not sure you can do this with HA, but there is a way to schedule tasks to run configuration updates in every Cisco IOS device.
