Control Hive Thermostat via Node Red and Home Assistant

Hi all, I’m not new here but well out of date it seems :frowning:

I have my HA setup running well, has been for some years now, I do all of my programming in Node Red not HA and use HA mainly for the human interface.

I thought I’d add my Hive heating control to the system this morning but can’t figure out how sadly.

I added the HA integration and can see the current and set-temp on my dashboard which is all good but when it comes to altering the set-point from Node Red I get lost and can’t figure it out,

A lot has changed in Node Red since I last went in, it’s not something I play with every day.

All I need is to be able to set the target temperature on the 'stat from a Node Red node - this will open up scheduling and other stuff for me as I want.

Can anyone help me out here please?

Many thanks

I think I have found it…

You need to use the “climate.set_temperature” action under the “heating” entity.

It seems to do what I desire but if anyone has a better/proper way please reply so I can learn.

Thanks all
