Control Multiple "Dumb" ACs with a single remote?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if there exists any HA compatible universal remote capable of controlling more than 1 AC at a time - I mean in a very rudimentary way. Basically, the remote should turn on and off all ACs when needed [ie. turn them on/off together at one instant and not individually at different times for different ACs].

Would be terrific if such a remote had an inbuilt temp. sensor as well.

Thanks.

if all the AC units you want to control have IR for input you can setup a broadlink IR blaster and setup a bulk command to control them all at the same time via sending the control signals at the same time via the control of your choice.

What’s your ac brand/model?

Neat. The Boardlink Mini 4 seems perfect.

Will this also let me control individual ACs independently? It’s crazy if that’d be possible to be honest cuz that would mean Broadlink knows how many IR devices are around and assigns unique identifiers to each. Wild.

3 Daikin and 1 Panasonic - all split type units

I’d recommend using esp to replace the wifi adapters for daikin & panasonic. Then just group them in ha

You program it with the codes from the remote when its not already there from the available profiles for the devices that you want to control through it, the other option is as ferb stated and use an ESP setup when you don’t have built in wifi modules and options for integrations that support them.
