Control Philips TV 55POS9002 in Home Assistant

I have multiple issues with trying to connect and control my Philips TV in Home Assistant.

First the wake_on_lan.send_magic_packet service does not result in the TV turning on despite the service showing as successfully executed in Home Assistant and I’m not seeing any issues show up in the Core logs. I’ve set up a static wireless IP address for the TV that I enter in the Broadcast address field and I’m sure that I’m using the correct MAC address. Do I also need to enter a port value (I’ve already tried entering 1925 with no success)?

Second the Philips TV integration is working but it only provides basic remote control functionality so there doesn’t seem to be functionality to directly start or stop apps like Netflix for example. Has anyone else using this integration figured out a solution for interacting with apps?

Third I can’t seem to install the Android TV integration as I keep getting a Failed to connect message when I add the integration. This is happening after I turned on USB debugging and set a static IP address on the TV (and router). I’m not sure what to enter in the Port and ADB Server Port fields, I’ve tried to update the Port value from the default 5555 to 1925 with no success.

At this point I’m wondering if I should buy a Broadlink RM4 to switch on the TV? I had attempted to install the Android TV integration as a solution to directly launch apps like Netflix but I do have a Roku stick and Fire TV stick so I’m now wondering if I should just use those integrations instead of the Android TV integration in Home Assistant?

Broadlink is overpriced compared to a ESP8285 with IR from AliExpress.
They don’t look as pretty but they work just fine if you can hide them somewhere
