My Samsung washing machine is available in HA through the SmartThings integration, and all state attributes are updated correctly in real time.
One such attribute is named washer_machine_state and the possible values are stop, run and pause. From the Android SmartThings App on my mobile phone, I can press the run button and the washer will begin whatever preset program is active.
I’d like to be able to do this from within a HA automation action. But how?
Setting (changing) a state value doesn’t do anything.
