I use an old hikvision NVR (DS-7604) as a video decoder for my living room. It has 4 scenery cams connected to it. I’d like to find a way to tell it what cam to display via home assistant. My assumption is it might be doable via a curl request to the nvr but I haven’t found the right command yet.
Has anyone else tried this? The reason I use the nvr is the video quality is way sharper than any software client I’ve tried (VLC on an Apple TV, ipcam viewer, etc.)
Would a different hardware decoder be recommended (Dahua, etc.) if this is a dead end?
