Controlling LED transformer from HA

I have a set of LED lighting already working and wired with the following transformer:

In the same room, I already have an IR blaster and my HA setup already has it connected as well as MQTT.

I’m trying to decide on the easiest/cheapest type of relay to insert between the 12v out of the transformer and the lights so that I can control them from HA, any recommendations?

What about a simple smart plug switching the mains?
