Conversion from HomeKit control to Home Assistant

Hello,
Totally new to Home Assistant, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I’ve got Home Assistant running on a raspberry pi connected via hardware to my network which is also running Eero Pro 6E’s for wifi/thread (available). I have connected most everything available through discovery, which is great, but the things I want to control most (in wall light switches) aren’t discoverable and I’m having trouble controlling them through the home assistant interface.
As I understand it, Home Assistant is supposed to connect with the Apple HomeKit and then control the devices that way (rather than devices connected directly through/to Home Assistant). When i look at homekit, i have 5-7 different lights etc visible. Trying to follow this i don’t see any of devices when go to “integration entries” on my HomeKit Device.

Eve Switches are Thread, but Meross I think ride on the typical wifi-bands. Sorry for the noob question, I appreciate any help!

I think I understand your question, let me know if I misunderstand. You have homekit devices already paired to apple - one by one remove them from the home app (don’t reset them because they are on your network) and in home assistant they will show up as discoverable by HA “homekit devices” integration.

After they are paired to home assistant (using the pairing code) you can export them back into homekit using “homekit bridge” integration in home assistant.

Regarding thread - you want to set up home assistant to use the existing thread network…I’m not familiar with Eero but with Apple thread network you can simply make that your default thread network in the home assistant thread integration.
